Joan Fons is an Assistant Professor at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia since 2001. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2007, in the field of Model Driven Development and Web Engineering.
He is a member of the Software Production Methods (ProS) research center, and he is interested in Ambient Intelligence and Ubiquitous Computing, the Internet of Things, Autonomic Computing, Web engineering, and Model Driven Development. He has more than 60 published papers, including publication in journals such as Computer, IEEE Pervasive Computing or Personal and Ubiquitous Computing, and also in the most relevant conferences in his work field.
He has been involved in FP European Projects and ITEA European projects for more than 10 years. Since 2006, he is actively working and leading research transfer projects with local companies and public organizations.
