Maria José Villanueva graduated in Computer Science in 2009, obtained a M.SC in 2011, and a PhD in Computer Science in 2006 at the Universitat Politècnica de Valencia. Her main research interests are the application of software engineering and information systems principles in the bioinformatics domain, as well as on the development of health services for personalized medicine. She is currently mainly involved in the CAP (“Collaborative Analytics Platform”) project, an european project with the ITEA signature in which she helps in the deployment of the use case of a local biotechnology company in the common analytics infrastructure of the project.
