Vicente Pelechano

Vicente Pelechano is an associate professor of software engineering at Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). He received a PhD in computer science from Universitat Politècnica de València.
He is Director of the TaTAmI Research Group at the Software Production Methods Research Center (ProS) of the UPV. He is Academic Director of the Master in Computer Science at the ETSINF-UPV.
His research interests are Model-Driven Software Development, Autonomous Computing and Self-Adaptation, Service Engineering, Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing, Software Product Lines, Human–Computer Interaction and Business Process Modeling.
He has an extensive experience (almost 20 years) doing research in several areas in the Software Engineering field. This experience is supported by the advising of 15 doctoral theses, the publication of more than 190 research papers in renowned indexed journals and international conferences as ER, CAiSE, ICWE, JISBD, JCIS, DSDM and IDEAS. He has participated in more than 100 program committees. He has been scientific director of several projects of the Spanish National Plan for R & D, has actively participated in a number of european research projects (ITEA and FP7), also had participated in different spanish technological platforms. He is continuously conducting technology transfer to leading companies in the software sector. Currently is the scientific director of the SMART ADAPT and BAAS (Building As A Service) projects.
